As I sit here, there’s a 2 year old girl asleep curled up in my left arm. The past few weeks, there have been a few days where she refuses to go to sleep any other way. She will yell at the top of her lungs, crying, “I WANT DADDY SNUGGLES!” if my wife tries to rock her to sleep in her swing.
It’s the little things like this that make me appreciate my kids. Like when I come home from work and she yells “Daddy! I missed you!” or when the twins give me big smiles and excited hugs yelling “I love you!”
There are so many great things about being a parent, but being reminded how much these little people love me is an amazing feeling. We give so much of our lives to them, and love them unconditionally. They give us so many incredible moments, so many smiles. It’s the little things that keep us going through the hard times, when they’re screaming at us.
